This oceanfront condo is located in Tavernier Key, a community situated along the southern border to Key Largo. The grounds encompass over 60 acres and is situated in a tropical paradise surrounded by mangrove forest, coconut trees and the pristine turquoise waters of the Florida Keys. From dawn to dusk you can enjoy the many activities the resort has to offer or just relax in your oceanfront suite which offers beautiful ocean views.
This unit is one of the popular "D-Model" types, the most requested and therefore the most difficult to reserve of the 4 different condo model layouts. What makes it a high demand unit is because it's the only model with two separate oceanfront balconies, all other units only have one balcony. One balcony is located in the living room and the other in the master bedroom, each offering spectacular OCEAN VIEWS and each overlooks a Protected Wildlife Refuge Area. Dozens of species of birds and animals can be seen in their native habitat, such as a family of Osprey, their nest is perched directly behind the unit.
In the Fall of 2019 the unit underwent a COMPLETE and TOTAL RENOVATION! The upgrades include, Brand New Kitchen with Modern Shaker Style Cabinets, Exotic Granite Counter Top/Back Splash and Stainless Steel Appliances, Both Master Bathroom (W/Walk in Shower) and Guest Bathroom (W/Tub) were Completely Modernized to include New Vanities and New Wood Planks on Walls/Flooring, New Wood Plank Flooring throughout the entire condo, All Walls, Doors and Ceilings received a Fresh Coat of Paint, New Ceiling Lighting Throughout, New Master Bedroom Furniture Set W/King Bed, Guest Bedroom with Pair of Twin Beds, Natuzzi Leather Queen Size Sleeper Sofa bed and Love-seat, New 60" Ultra HDTV in Living Room, 55" Ultra HDTV in Master Bedroom and 45" Ultra HDTV in Guest Bedroom!

SOME VERY IMPORTANT FACTORS TO CONSIDER:
Many of the most popular vacation rental websites have been infiltrated by more and more con artist that advertise properties and take payments/reservations for properties that do not exist. Also, many private owners throughout the keys are operating illegal vacation rentals in areas not zoned to allow for rentals of less than 28 days. This is an activity that the county is aggressively cracking down on for a variety of reasons. Owners that are caught by Code Enforcement face steep fines and are required to immediately stop advertising and cancel all of their reservations.
So to insure you have the peace of mind in knowing that you are dealing with a legitimate vacation rental manager and will not become the next victim of internet fraud, finding yourself stranded in the keys without a place to stay or reserve from an owner that is running an illegal rental. It is imperative that you make sure the owner/manager you ultimately rent from is licensed by both Monroe County as well as The State of Florida Division of Hotels and Restaurants.
Pest Control is one of my top priorities since all properties located in this tropical environment are vulnerable to becoming infested with roaches, ants, and spiders. Nothing will ruin a family vacation faster than having to share your unit with these unwelcome guests. That is why all my units are treated and inspected on a regular basis by a Professional Extermination Company.
Area Information
The resort has an array of amenities designed for all to enjoy. A typical day can include a round of tennis followed by a swim in our huge Jr. Olympic size pool with separate whirlpool spa. Or maybe you'd prefer to get some sun and play volley ball on our private Ocean Front Beach. You can also rent a kayak and explore the surrounding keys wildlife. Then again you may just want to have a cocktail or snack at our Oceanfront Cafe & Lounge, followed by a relaxing stroll along our Private Boardwalk and Marina. These are just some of the activities you and your family can enjoy.

100% Guarantee that the unit you see advertised is the actual vacation rental you will get. Since ALL vacation rentals in Key Largo are privately owned they are decorated and maintained based on the owners taste and budget. The range varies from new and modern to outdated and worn down. So don't take a gamble on your vacation and INSIST on seeing photos of the actual rental before you book! Especially if you ever deal with a management company that represents multiple owners but only advertises their best model unit.

These accommodations have been Inspected by an Agent of the State of Florida Division of Hotels & Restaurants and Approved to operate in Key Largo Florida as Vacation Rentals. Whichever individual you decide to to business with, make sure to ask if they have the required "Transient License" issued by the state. This will insure that the unit meets the minimum standards for vacation rentals and is in compliance with the states Health & Safety Requirements.
This is the ONLY way to insure that you are renting a Legal Vacation Rental and Do Not become a victim of internet fraud as many bogus ads are placed on many of the most popular vacation rental sites. Also many owners advertise their properties in areas not zoned to allow for short term rentals, so you risk having those reservations being canceled at anytime as code enforcement is cracking down on that illegal activity.

About the owner: As a Miami resident for over 40 years, I have always enjoyed getting away to Key Largo for the fishing, boating, and relaxation that is unique to the area. Being able to share the Key Largo laid back life style with other families from all over the world has truly been one of the most gratifying experiences of my life. Over the years I have been able to meet so many people and share stories with them. They all seem to have the same things in common, they all love experiencing nature and the outdoors in a way that brings them closer together as a family.
I am married to a very supportive wife Charlene and have two great kids, Sofia and Fernando Jr. They all love the outdoors just as much as dad. I am a Civil Engineer by trade, having worked for 11 years at a firm in Miami primarily in the areas of Land Development and Highway Design. In the mid 90's I began renting out my second home in Key Largo to generate extra income and as the saying goes "The rest is history". I still keep my Engineering License active (worked to hard to get it) and have since obtained my Real-estate License. I'm currently a member of the Key Largo Chamber of Commerce and I'm presently serving as President of the Kawama Yacht Club Board of Directors, Vice President of Townhouses of Kawama, Treasurer for Kawama Tower and Secretary for The Mariners Club Board of Directors.
