About the owner: We are longtime residents of Hernando County. I have lived next door to this property since 1977 and lived in Brooksville since 1959. This is a wonderful and unique community. We are located in the middle of the state and close to many, many adventures to be explored in Florida. Living next door to the property makes us available for questions and concerns 24 - 7. We would be happy to visit with you by phone with any questions. . We are a retired couple. Ed is a retired doctor practicing in Brooksville for many years. I am a retired banker having worked for SunTrust, now Truist, for 36 years. We are 84 and 85 years old but in reasonably good health and enjoy meeting our guests.
Why this property? We have had wonderful neighbors who lived in this home. It was the first home built in the Country Club in the mid 70's . Several families lived in home and when last family put it on market for sale we purchased it as a short term rental thinking that at our age, there may come a time we are tired or or can't manipulate the stairs in the home we live in, and we would move into the 9516 property. And we still may! It is on a beautiful lot that overlooks number 18 green.

This lovely home sits in a quiet neighborhood, backing up to the 18 fairway; however it is far enough away that you are not bothered by errant golf balls or the sound of golf carts. The house is comfy and is filled with beautiful antiques. It has all the essentials you need. Brooksville is a cool old town and has some great old houses and buildings (check out the downtown!). Unfortunately a lot of the local sites were closed due to covid. For eateries, we loved the Florida Cracker Kitchen and the Bistro for places to eat. The golf course is great - it has some challenging holes and is reasonably priced. We absolutely cannot say enough good things about Edwin and Nancy - they are fabulous hosts! We so enjoyed our stay and getting to know them!
