There is one bathroom next to the bedrooms and one bathroom on the outside of the house. It is ideal for taking a cleaning shower after a relaxing visit on the #1 voted U.S. beach that you can reach within a walking distance of only five minutes.

The famous Siesta Key village is only a 3 minutes walk.
So feel free to decide spontaneously to barbecue in the garden next to the canal, cook in the kitchen in the house or walk 3 minutes to one of the many nice restaurants in the village and enjoy some drinks after a fantastic sunset on the beach.

You also have the possibility to reach the house by boat. Feel free to take your boat with you and explore the canals with their dolphins up to the ocean.
There are a free wireless internet connection and a TV in the livingroom and in each bedroom included.

In the garage, where you could leave your car, you will find some beach equipments that are waiting for you. But don't worry having no car - there is a free shuttle service near by the house.

You can reach many nice bars and restaurants within only a 3 minutes walking distance. So it is no problem to go out in the evening, have a good meal and some drinks in several bars nearby – there is no car needed.
It is also very nice to take some drinks and relax on the screened roofed terrace with lighted palms and a very nice view on the channel. No chance for mosquitos.

Also you are able to walk to the beach in about five minutes.
There is a beach wagon with some beach utensiles waiting for you to use. Feel also free to use the tricycle to drive to and on the beach.
Because of the small distance you are able to walk to the beach in the morning, to look for some dolphins and to relax in the sun, to have lunchtime at home and to go back to the beach in the evening for enjoying the beautiful sunset on the beach.

There is a kitchen, a grill on the terrace and you have the possibility to clean and dry your clothes. So feel free to travel easily with light luggage.
To keep the inside of the house clean you can use an outdoor shower and a bathroom, also with a shower, which you can reach directly from the outside after your beachvisit.

Especially older people are very welcome. There are no steps - everything is on one floor.

Why Kids Love It

Kids will love it, because they will never be bored. And not even because they have free WI-FI.
There are so many things to explore near by.

For example, they can go with an inflatable boat through the channels and ,maybe, even see some dolphins or manatees - or rent a boat nearby at the south bridge. And ,of course, there is the beach nearby, where they can relax or play some beach games. There is one big advantage of the sand you will find one the siesta key beach: It is white sand that never gets hot!

If you have a car with you, your kids would also love some trips to some of the greatest highlights of Florida. For example, Everglades City is about a 3 hours drive. There you will find alligator farms with alligators, snakes and other local animals.
Or ,maybe, visit the Sarasota Mote Marine Aquarium to find out more about the local sea animals.

If you have adventurous kids, don't miss to go with them to some of the great amusement parks. Great is Bush Gardens in Tampa or the Island of Adventure and the Universal Studios in Orlando. Tip: Check out for special offers for the visit of two or more parks. And ,of course, there is Sea World in Orlando which you shouldn´t miss. For your technical kids a one day trip to Kennedy Space Center is very recommendable.

The very big advantage of Siesta Key is, that you can reach nearly every destination in Florida within one day trip, no matter whether you go to the north, to the east or to the south. And, of course, to the west you will find the Gulf of Mexico, reachable within a 5 minutes walking distance.
If your kids are 21 or older, they might love the 2 minutes nearby famous Siesta Key Beach Club, where they could meet other young people and party with them.

Inside Scoop

You will find the restaurant "The Cottage" on the direct way to the beach. Ask for a dinner outside in the garden. There are just a few tables outside - but it is a very cosy outside garden with live music.

Nearby at the south bridge there are some boat rentals. Rent a boat and go through the big channels, you might see dolphins and manatees there. If you are born before 01.01.1988 you don´t need a license for it – otherwise you have the chance to take a day license ,for example, for a jetski.Or go parasailing!

Another tip: Try to get a flight to Sarasota Int. Airport. It is small and you don't waste time waiting for your luggage or your car and it is only a twenty minute drive to Siesta Key.
