This newer home, Veranda Views in Seagrass gated community, has a private pool, large porches, incredible sunset views, and is only 150 steps to the beach. There are two large master king size suites, two bunk rooms, and one queen size bedroom. Features include outdoor gas grill, an outdoor shower with hot water, a large carport and park pad that could easily hold five cars, a boat, and/or an RV. The upstairs master suite has its own private porch, large walk-in closet, spacious master bath with Jacuzzi tub, sundeck and spectacular views of the Gulf. The main level provides a gourmet kitchen including stainless steel appliances, granite counters, and an island which accommodates four. The main level also has a two-story great room, dining table that seats 10, a main level queen size bedroom, bunk room and full bath. The open and light floor plan offers multiple views of the Gulf and the private pool. The downstairs king size master suite has its own walk-in closet and private full bath. Each bedroom has a flat screen TV. The lower level also includes laundry room with full-size washer and dryer. The main level of the porch provides three separate areas including a dining table for six, a high top dining table for four, plus a private conversation area for two. Three complimentary kayaks that seat four, and five bikes are also provided. Veranda Views is pet friendly and accommodates dogs for a nominal fee.

Seagrass is a quiet gated community with a very low key vibe. Our favorite activities are morning coffee on the veranda, walk to get supplies and donuts at the Tradin' Post, long walks on the beach, low country boil & gumbo dinner across the road at Scully's, swimming in the pool, kayaking on the bay, showering outdoors, and finishing the day with cocktails at sunset.

Apalachicola has the fun Oyster City Brewery, which is a hangout with excellent local beers, fun inexpensive shopping
St. Joe State Park is a few miles north and provides beautiful deserted beaches and dunes, as well as Eagle Harbor Bay for launching boats and kayaks.
The ship wreck "Donna Kay" is located about a mile walk south from the "StumpHole" road parking, for a good hike of 30 minutes, but wear water shoes because it is a tricky walk among tree stumps.
You must clean up all your beach gear each evening, so you don't interfere with sea turtle nesting, and we love our sea turtles!
If you have a dog, CSB is dog-friendly 24/7 but please keep your pups on a leash and scoop the poop!

Gulf County rules include must be pets on leashes, do not leave anything on the beach over night (to protect the sea turtles), and to drive a golf cart you must be 16 with a driver's license.

About the owner: My husband, Bert, and I are big dog lovers and friends of ours have a home here. That is what brought us to Cape San Blas, and we have loved it ever since. We really appreciate the relaxed low key vibe, great seafood, gorgeous dog-friendly beaches, and hospitable locals. We hope to retire here someday. We live in Atlanta where my husband is on the faculty at Georgia Tech and I am a residential realtor. Our son is finishing up university and we are hoping he ends up back in Atlanta. Bert is Dutch-born and raised, I am Colombian-born but raised in the U.S. and our son Jackson is Atlanta born and raised.

Why this property? Veranda Views is a large, light-filled comfortable house with great views of the Gulf. The porches can be used almost year-round and provide space for coffee, eating, beverages, reading, sunning, and star gazing. The porches are my personal favorite feature of the house. For the cooks in the family, the kitchen is full-stocked and loaded with appliances (crock pot, blender, coffee grinder, toaster, coffee maker, gas grill, etc.). The private pool can be heated (for a small fee) and enjoyed year-round night or day (there is a pool light by the gas grill). The beach in front of Seagrass is wide with gorgeous white sand and good shelling. It is a short walk away and there is a beach cart in the beach closet to help carry your beach necessities. The kayaks and bikes are provided for your enjoyment. We prefer the bay side for kayaking (calmer water). Enjoy!

Three floors of welcoming space with a spectacular master suite on third floor and balconies on the 2 top floors with expansive views of the Gulf. Well-appointed rooms and comfortable furnishings. Just south of the major devastation in the area from Hurrican Michael last October, the development and beach were well preserved although there are remnants of buildings that were not so lucky.

This house was perfect for our two families to share, along with our dogs. Great location with easy access to the beach. Our kids loved using the sea kayaks! The owners were easy to work with - very accommodating and quick to respond to all communications. We loved our week at Cape San Blas and look forward to renting this house again in the future!

We had a great time making memories here. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful home. We had 7 of our 9 children here with 3 grandsons. Our first vacation with married children and grandchildren.

This house exceeded our expectations! The layout was perfect for our three families and babies and the location and accessibility to the beach could not have been any better. The house was clean when we arrived, and we had no issues during our one week stay. We would definitely stay here again! Really recommend it.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Veranda Views! We take an annual beach trip with extended family each summer and this home provided everything we needed. It is close to the beach (short walk to beach access path) and the beach is not overcrowded. Love being able to bring dogs down to the beach! We enjoyed the kayaks and bikes provided I would definitely recommend this home to any group heading to the beach.

Most Beautiful Beach Sunset

We had a wonderful long weekend at this property with a group of friends. Plenty of space for 5 couples. Comfortable amenities, fully equipped kitchen and sunny relaxed decor. Porches were great for relaxing and the pool provided a refreshing dip. Very short walk to the beach where we saw the most beautiful sunset and full moon rise on the opposite side of the island. Although this is not beachfront, it has a great view. Highly recommended!

Perfect vacation home away from home!!

Had a great time in this beautiful beach house only steps away from the amazing endless beach! A real treat for our dogs as well, that enjoyed being in such a great pet-friendly location. The gated community is a true plus for more privacy. Loved the new decor of the rooms, all very clean and kitchen very well equipped. Nice privat heated pool and outdoor shower cabin was special. We had lots of fun exploring the surroundings with the bikes and kayaks. Really a perfect relaxful getaway for families and/or friends. Our highlights besides the beach of course, were enjoying those fantastic sunsets and spending cozy evenings on the veranda. Will definitely recommend and hope to return next year!

Bonfire on the Beach

This is a beautiful property, just steps away from the beach, where we enjoyed an evening sunset and bonfire with friends. During the day we walked to a doughnut shop, rode bikes, grilled seafood, and enjoyed relaxing on the porch. For a special treat we had a short drive to the charming town of Apalachicola. This condo is spacious, and comfortable. The kitchen is stocked with all the cookware & gadgets you need to prepare a great meal and it enjoy it out on the veranda. I can't wait to come back!

If you are looking for the perfect beach retreat, this is it!

This gorgeous beach home not only met but exceeded our expectations! This spacious home offers the perfect getaway for families, couples, girls getaway, and you can even bring your pet! We loved the close walk to the beach, the private pool, and just relaxing on the verandas with the spectacular sunsets and beach views! We will be back!
