About the Property
Newly renovated in April 2014 with all King Sized Beds (New mattresses), insulation, drywall, electric, paint, flooring, ductwork, HVAC, plumbing, appliances, everything! We gutted this house down to the studs and made this into our retirement home for the future. Three master suites all share a large Trex deck with direct access/views of the ocean. One other upstairs master suite plus a ground level master suite provide privacy for your guests. Every room has it's own private bathroom. The ground level master suite has a handicap shower perfect for wheel chairs and the elderly. This is a non-driving portion of St. Augustine Beach and sleeps 10-14 comfortably. The regraded, newly sodded fenced yard is perfect for croquet, badminton or whiffle ball. The new fire pit allows you to relax with your guest by a roaring fire. Several shaded areas are perfect for entertaining. Outdoor speakers provide your favorite music. Sit under the deck or lounge area on rainy days while you wait for the inevitable St. Augustine sun to come back out or lay in the hammock in the gazebo as you watch the sun rise. Please note that we rent this home ourselves and do not use any other contracts from any other source including available holidays 2009.

Year Purchased: 2013
About the owner: We purchased this home in December of 2013. We have totally renovated it with all new King size mattresses and are doing these improvements as if it was our primary residence. We replaced all drywall, insulation, ductwork, HVAC system, electrical, plumbing, appliances, siding, windows, doors, etc. The pool has been resurfaced and switched to a saltwater pool. The deck was completely ripped off and replaced. There is nothing left from the old house except for the foundation and framing. We want renters that are looking for new, clean and upscale.
Lynne Campbell purchased this House in 2013

Guestbook comments from the owner:
Such a fun & clean home! The 5 master suites made us feel like we had our own private hotel! The pool & bar area my favorite! Cooking out by the pool is where we spent most of our nights. Perfect spot to walk to dinner/bars. Downtown is just a 10 minute ride. We will be back!
The spacious home was inviting for family reunion/early Anniversary. 11 of us were able to enjoy each other company in well equipped kitchen or seek out privacy in gazebo or deck off bedroom
It was amazing. Having our own path to the beach, great pool, easy acess to historic St Augustine.
Caretakers made sure we were comfortable and provided local information.
Thanks Lynne & Tim
This is our second year to stay at the Love Shack for our family vacation. It is a perfect vacation home, everybody has their own suites including bathrooms and there is wonderful space in and outside the home for a family to gather. Clean, comfortable with breathtaking views, excellent restaurants within walking distance and a beautiful beach. We will be back :)
We had a wonderful time making memories with three generations of our family! Much time was spent at the beautiful pool and gorgeous beach (the sand felt like flour!) The house is exceptionally well supplied and extremely clean and organized. The layout is terrific and we enjoyed having five master suites. The location and property were perfect. Our only wish would be for upgraded beds/bedding. The mattresses were thin and several beds had a sheet of plywood under the mattress, making them a little too firm for our taste. The bedding consisted of a set of sheets and a very light, very thin comforter. We would have preferred something a little more substantial. However, these are just personal preferences. The Campbells do a fabulous job of making you feel welcome in their little slice of heaven. Should we ever return to this area, we would rent this property again in a heartbeat and recommend to all!
This is our second stay at Love Shack and we have already booked our week for next summer. There are 9 of us, 4 couples and one single, so the 5 en suite baths are perfect for us. My wife and I are the old timers so they give us the huge Master Suite on 2nd floor. Bathroom is top of the line. All bedrooms are as advertised.
The owner Lynne is a pleasure to deal with. Caretakers Jenny and Stacy are there when you need them and unobtrusive when you don't. We had no major problems but it was good to know they were there if needed.
There are restaurants within walking distance and some are very good. The beach is just over the dune. Great hammock under the gazebo. The warm salt water pool is great for relaxing after the beach.
We range in age from 30-70 and all agreed that we will return to Love Shack next year.
