Direct, oceanfront home with large deck that has breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean to enjoy the beautiful sunrise. Only steps away from the sand! Lots of houses state they are oceanfront; they are oceanfront, just far far away from the water. We custom built our house on this lot because this is as close to the water on this island as you can get. No boardwalk nor street to cross you can literally hear the ocean from the bedroom and see the dolphins swim by you are so close. The interior is tastefully decorated with beach decor to make your stay perfect. 4 bedroom, 3 baths. Great room has leather recliners for relaxing and dining area has large table that seats 10 and the island bar seats five. Large space under the house for a picnic and grilling. There is an outdoor shower (with warm water) to rinse off the sand from the beach! New ceramic tile and carpet, just redecorated, black granite counter tops. Just purchased all new Simmons Heavenly Westin Mattresses/box springs for all beds.
Beds include two full, four queens, and one king, all large beds no twins. The rocking chairs are delightful to just sit and rock feeling the ocean breeze. The sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean is just beautiful if you are a early riser. After lunch the porch get a shade
over it and Grandparents just love this to sit and rock watching the "Grands" play on the beach never having to leave the porch it is that close. Please read all the reviews you will find our house very accommodating with all the amenities. Great room has vaulted ceiling with lots of large windows to capture all of the beautiful panoramic ocean view of God's creation. The master bedroom has it own private balcony when you are laying in the bed looking out it is like being on a cruise ship seeing nothing but the dynamic Atlantic Ocean.
It is 20 minutes from Jacksonville, Florida International Airport. It is located three miles from the Ritz Carlton. Enjoy activities on the island including fishing, horseback riding, beautiful golf courses, and shopping downtown in historic Fernandina.
Wonderful restaurants abound the island. Great fun downtown for the entire family. Horse drawn buggy tours, trolley tours, river cruise, chartered fishing, Fresh seafood at the docks right off the shrimp boats. Saturday morning there is a great fresh market.
Great shopping all over island with unique stores and sovereign shops.

it is very close to the water, no dunes to cross, step off onto the sand about 30 yards
from the water. The large paved driveway provides lots of parking for vehicles and even your boat!

About the owner: I live about an hour from our beach house we absolutely love Amelia Island.
I am very family oriented and enjoy families to make great memories at our
house when we cannot be there . I like to rent to families that love the beach and spend time together each summer and I rent to lots of repeat families .
My house is well equipped with all the amenities you would need, if you find
something missing that you need I would like to know so I can make sure you have everything necessary to make your stay the most pleasant and return again.
My house is child friendly and very close to the water to make it very convenient for the parents to be close to water without having to cross dunes.
Why this property? Our family has owned property over several generations since the late 1920's and this is like our second home. We make it as comfortable as a family would need
with very relaxing accommodations even leather recliners for napping while listening to the sound of the ocean. We are as close to the water as you can get on this island. Our house is about 30 yards from the water other houses are a far walk over dunes to even see the ocean even though it states it is ocean front.
Our house is so close you can see the dolphins swimming by! The large big open room provides all the family to be together even dining and kitchen area you can
see the water and beach, a priceless view.

This is probably one of the best beach house we have stayed at. Very close to the beach and excellent proximity to downtown Fernandina and grocery. The house has a lot of space for 12 people. Kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, plates, pots, including coffee maker etc. Dining and living room area has plenty of space and very nicely decorated. We got to enjoy the 2 new couches. The beds are very comfy and the deck has a lot of furniture to sit on to enjoy the view. Mrs. Hopkins is a very accommodating owner and we appreciate her and her husband meeting us at the property. Overall, very satisfied with our stay.

Connie W.Absolutely wonderful beach house!
My family and I have enjoyed staying here for several summers. (total of 9 of us). The house is beautiful,very comfortable and located right on the beach! You can enjoy the sunrise from the beach, the deck of the house or the great room with its wall of windows. There is a breezeway (and it lives up to its name with the constant breeze) with rockers, grill, table and a bathroom on the ground level. (with 4 grandkids, it is so nice to not have to go into the house for every bathroom break). The kitchen is well stocked with all the dishes and cooking utensils you should need. We have found it worth the fee to have the linens provided, so we just walk in and start enjoying our vacation. Another convenience is the washer and dryer that allow us to take home clean clothes. I don't think you will ever find better hosts than the Hopkins!
