When guests arrive at our home and enter through the front door, the first thing they notice is our home has been decorated in a tasteful Floridian style. Everything is provided for our guests -- just bring your clothes and personal items.

Retire to the master bedroom's king size bed to read a book or watch TV (Smart). Master bath has a Jacuzzi tub and separate shower. On the other side of the house are two comfortable guests’ bedrooms, each with a queen size bed. These 2 guest rooms share their own private bath which has direct access to the lanai.

The spacious living area and formal dining area comfortably seat our guests. The family room has a large smart TV. If you are not fond of TV, entertain yourself with high speed internet, wifi, a selection of board games, checkers, chess, puzzles, cards, or a small library of books to enjoy by the pool.

The kitchen is completely equipped with all large and small appliances. The large breakfast bar allows for lively conversation while meals are being prepared. As you stand in the kitchen, you can look out over the lanai and see the pool and golf course. Initial salt, pepper, sugar, coffee, paper towels, napkins, dish detergent, and garbage bags are provided.

Full laundry facilities contain a washing machine, dryer, laundry tub, iron, ironing board, and drying rack. Initial detergent and fabric sheets are supplied.

The lanai overlooks a fresh water pond and the first green of Pine Valley Golf Course. The lanai is screened with an electrically heated pool (and evening solar pool blanket), 3 ceiling fans, patio table, 6 chairs, 2 loungers, a gas grill, Smart TV, and a relaxing 4 piece conversational set. The lanai area also has access to the guest bathroom for added convenience.

Air conditioning and ceiling fans throughout. Our home is thoroughly maintained and cleaned after the departure of our guests, and rechecked prior to new arrivals.

For your trip to the beach, there are several beach chairs, 2 beach umbrellas, and a cooler. In the garage are three beach cruisers with helmets available for riding around Rotonda West. We also keep a few fishing poles and some tackle in the garage for the guests — nothing fancy — just some basic equipment for fun.

This home is on a cul-de-sac street so traffic is minimal. During the evening hours, enjoy the privacy, peacefulness, and thousands of stars. Daytime offers the opportunity to see many species of birds and wildlife as the home is very close to Charlotte Harbor Preserve State Park.

If you value peace, you'll find it here. If you love anything golfing, you can play a few rounds or watch golfers everyday from the lanai. There are all types of wildlife to enjoy. We keep an old pair of binoculars on one of the bookshelves for wildlife viewing. We have seen all kinds of birds, alligators (of course), wild boars, coyotes, bobcats, etc.

Why Kids Love It

I do NOT consider our home kid friendly.

Because of the artwork, area rugs, glass tables, and breakables in the house, we do not consider our home "kid friendly". We do not provide any baby items such as baby beds, high chairs, playpens, toys, etc.

Area Information

This is a cul-de-sac street so there is very little traffic. My neighbor on one side has a double lot, so the lot next to me contains a berm with palm trees which allows additional privacy for our lanai. On the other side of my home, the lot is empty. Across the street, there are no homes built (yet). I feel there is so much space around us. Also, having the golf course behind the house provides a lot of entertainment (no offense to any of the golfers out there). I am not a golfer, but I do enjoy watching them on the first green.

This home is ideally situated just minutes from several public beaches: Englewood Beach, Stump Pass Beach, Blind Pass (aka Middle) Beach, Don Petro Island State Park, and Gasparilla Island State Park. In addition, 14 minutes to Cape Haze Marina, and 26 minutes to Gasparilla Island (Boca Grande). First class salt water fishing and water sports facilities all within easy reach. There are 8 public golf courses within 5 miles. For shoppers, there is Boca Grande, Englewood’s Dearborne Street, historic Venice, Fishermen’s Village in Punta Gorda, plus many local artistic and outlet stores. For those who enjoy thrift stores, you can spend hours/days going thru the many shops. Fabulous restaurants and bars are close by. Many types of local music can also be found.
