Loved this home
My husband and I rented this home for the month of March 2022 and loved it. The home is updated and spacious. This rental has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The screened in front porch is a wonderful place for cocktails or coffee. The yard space is cool and breezy. The owner was very responsive to any pre-visit questions as well as questions while we were there. The check in instructions were very clear. The location is great to walk or bike to many good restaurants and attractions. We will definitely be back!

Home away from home
I travel a lot. My stay at Ohio Pl in Sarasota was just a dream. Home away from home. Marianne Collins has the perfect “nest” - walking distance to everywhere! House was a jewel! Neighborhood fantastic! I already booked my next stay from Switzerland

Location, Location, Location and Great Owner Response
This will be an honest and rather 'mixed-bag' review of this property that my wife and I rented a few weeks ago. First of all, FYI, please know that this rental site allows you to communicate directly with the owner...no middle-man so-to-speak. The entire booking process was very straight-forward and efficient. The appearance of the cottage from the outside is quaint with another cottage nearby on the same lot. The location of this place is outstanding. Although we drove to a number of area destinations, we also walked a number of times to downtown eateries, businesses, performances...very doable for someone who enjoys walking. When we arrived our first afternoon, we noticed a slightly musty odor in the cottage and come to find out, the AC unit was not working. We contacted Marianne who contacted her AC technician and he arrived the next afternoon. It was quite warm ...fortunately a fan in the bedroom made it comfortable enough to sleep. The AC was repaired the next day and that foreseeable problem was eliminated. Then we noticed the bathroom sink drain was clogged. Again, we contacted Marianne who contacted her plumber....he took care of the problem while we were away the next day. Obviously we were not able to use the bathroom sink and used the kitchen sink instead during that time. Both matters are recognizably happenstance, could never be predicted and Marianne acted immediately on both. We're from Maine and the cottage itself reminds us of a lake camp inside. It's cute, quaint, plenty roomy and has most everything you'd need to make yourself comfortable including meals if you so chose. Furnishings are not new and modern....as I said...more like it is advertised...a bungalow, so we were comfortable and good with that.Lastly, and again, this is a plus in the area of Marianne being right on top of things and trying to make sure to take care of things, I messed up on the process of the security deposit coming through our PayPal account...mistakenly sent the money back to Marianne and she went through the procedure to work with PayPal to turn that around once again. We'd stay here again. You will have a very hard time finding a place with such a great location for this price-point, and you can't beat the immediate response by the owner, Marianne.

We Love This Place
We have been staying here for, I think, 6 years. It is a wonderful option for people wanting to stay close to Sarasota city center and be within minutes from the beach. Lots of things to do within walking/biking distance - restaurants, movies, the library, the Y, Publix. We enjoy this historic neighborhood. The bungalow is comfortable, well-equiped, easy to enjoy.
