The Sanctuary at Redfish is one of the newest luxury properties along the south side of 30-A, famous for its 19 miles of bike paths and pristine natural setting. The Sanctuary at Redfish is ideally located between Sandestin and Seaside. Sanctuary at Redfish is a unique development with only 64 units nestled on 14 acres which include a rare dune lake. Enter in through the private gate and park in the underground parking garage. Enjoy the 4 bi-level resort style pools. One is a zero level entry pool which is great for young children. One is also heated seasonally. Other amenities include 2 hot tubs, a state of the art fitness center, and the lake. You can enjoy fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding and canoeing at the lake. Kayaks and canoes are available on a first come first serve basis. Beach access is provided by our water taxi seasonally or through a boardwalk nearby. Public beach access is also available a short bike ride or walk away. Beach service is provided which consists of one umbrella and two chairs (seasonally March 1-Oct. 31).
Our luxurious 3 bedroom 3.5 bath condo has been professionally decorated and furnished. You will enjoy almost 1800 square feet of living space and 10 foot ceilings. The fully equipped kitchen has granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and a convection oven. You will enjoy the natural views from your over- sized balcony.
On a cool night you can curl up and watch the flat screened TV with a fire going in the fireplace. Your master suite has a jetted Jacuzzi tub and separate shower. We also have WIFI service for your convenience. The secondary bedrooms each have their own private bathrooms and there is a half bath located in the hallway. Each bathroom has travertine tile and granite counter tops.
You can bicycle to your favorite restaurant for lunch and enjoy the peaceful scenery of this unique area. There are many village type shopping areas, fine dining, quaint art galleries and state parks to enjoy along 30-A. There are also many golf courses in the area. Or Destin is close enough to catch some outlet shopping and entertainment for the kids like The Track for go-kart rides, mini-golf, arcade, and rides or The Big Kahuna Water Park.
This property is located in front of one of the rare coastal dune lakes found along 30-A. A pontoon boat takes you to the beach making for a much more quiet and private beach experience. The lake provides more options than just the beach. Canoes and kayaks are available for guest use. Paddle boarding is also a popular thing to do in the area. The lake makes a perfect place for it.
Why Kids Love It
Kids love playing in the lake....catching fish and crabs, kayaking, canoeing and building sand castles.
This area is very unique because there are many dune lakes found only in a few places in the world: Australia, Madacascar and along 30-A. These lakes are perfect for fishing, paddle boarding or kayaking. There are 20 miles of bike paths along 30-A so you can enjoy a safe bike ride with your family and explore the many unique areas such as Seaside, Watercolor and Gulf Place. You won't find any chain restaurants here, only locally owned eateries brimming with fresh fish from the gulf. There are many art galleries and unique boutiques.
Attractions Within Walking Distance
Redfish Village is across the street and a short walk or bike ride away with restaurant and shops. Blue Mountain Creamery is also within walking distance with homemade ice cream.
Favorite Places To Eat
My favorite place to eat is The Bay. It is located on Hwy 331 just before you cross the bridge. The food is amazing. You have to try the Hot Mess! It has a beach and pier and often times music.
Some of the best shrimp in the world can be found here....Royal Reds. They are only caught in the gulf and taste like mini lobsters!

About the owner: I am originally from Nashville, Tennessee. After collage I moved to the Atlanta area. I am a mom to three boys and I am a real estate investor.
Why this property? We began visiting the Destin area in 2000. Then we discovered 30-A. The dream was hatched to own a second home in this beautiful location. I love the bike paths and natural surroundings of the area. The dune lakes are unique to the area and provide more chances to enjoy other forms of recreation such as fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking and canoeing. I love the village type settings of Seaside, Water Color, Gulf Place and Rosemary Beach. The restaurants are locally owned and there are many art galleries and unique boutiques.

How do you get to the beach?
There is an on-site water taxi that takes you across the dune lake to the private beach. It operates March 1-Oct. 31. During the winter you have access to a boardwalk a short walk down the bike path.
Are the pools heated?
One of the pools is heated during colder months.
May I check-in early or check-out late?
If no one is checking out or in the day you are requesting, I am happy to accommodate you. Otherwise the cleaning staff needs to prepare for your arrival or the next guests' arrival.
What amenities do you offer?
I provide beach towels, toys, books, extra beach chairs, board games, playing cards and hair dryer. A beach set-up is also included with your rental.
Are pets allowed?
No, the HOA has restricted guests from bringing pets and owners are only allowed dogs up to 15 pounds.
Heaven in Santa Rosa Beach
This was our first real experience with renting for a full three month stay...December 2019 through February 2020 and we were extremely pleased with our decision to rent from DeeDee. We walked in to the condo at Redfish and it was amazing! Perfectly located to allow use of the bike path on 30-A and just a short walk to the Gulf. The condo - especially the bed - was very comfortable and the condo has all of what we needed for our stay. The location is perfect as it affords privacy and yet is very close to all we needed for shopping and entertainment. It was as though we had never left home! DeeDee was responsive to two simple requests and she was a pleasure to work with when we contacted her about our extended stay plans. God willing, we hope to return for the same three months next December through February!

Beautiful private resort away from the hustle and bustle
The condo was amazing! Top notch furnishings and décor. The owner of the condo (Dee Dee) was very responsive, professional, and personable. The grounds were well maintained and code accessed, which allowed us to relax and enjoy the pools and hot tubs with our family. We took advantage of the kayaks available at the lake and the water taxi to the beach. Check in was quick and painless, and we did not want to leave! We are looking forward to staying there again.

Stayed here for fall break. Couldn’t have been better. The condo is spacious and has everything you need. Felt like we were the only ones there. Boat ride to the beach was really fun for the kids. Perfect location as you’re not far from restaurants or shopping but it feels like you are miles away. Would stay here again!

Wonderful Condo and Beach
This is the fourth year our family of 4 has stayed at this condo, which is perfectly located between Grayton Beach and Blue Mountain Beach on Redfish Lake. Very easy to get to and near tons of good food and the grocery store. The condo is so comfortable and well-stocked, and the multiple pools and lake access is a feature you don't see at many places. The condo itself has plenty of space for my family and I can imagine an even larger family having plenty of space. My kids LOVE riding across the lake to the beach with Captain Bob, and the little slice of beach is gorgeous and practically empty (at least in late April). Highly recommend. We will keep coming back!

Wonderful stay at Sanctuary at Redfish 1107
My wife Debbie and I spent the winter months of 2018 at Sanctuary at Redfish unit 1107. We have stayed there before and keep returning because the unit is really a luxury condo that is beautifully appointed and the owner DeeDee Cooley is really great to rent from as she is really a nice person and is very responsive to any need we might have. Last winter she even took our suggestion and updated to a larger smart tv in the living room. The facilities are wonderful. We use the workout facility, the heated pool and the hot tubs frequently. The location on 30A is ideal to reach restaurants, shopping and entertainment. The all purpose path that runs the length of 30A is great for biking. It is a short walk to the beach at the Blue Mountain access, or the water taxi can be taken starting March 1st. The property and condo building are very well kept. The pool area is like a major resort with four pools , waterfalls and two hot tubs. Landscaping is beautiful. We really look forward to our time at Sanctuary at Redfish unit 1107 and plan on returning again for the winter of 2019. Peter W Shaw
