Minimum Rental: 28 Days "Blue Water Retreat" is all about the location, location, location! This home has it all - ocean side Lower Matecumbe location, remodeled in 2009. Relax by the cocktail pool or sunbathe in the private roof top sunning area. There are blue water ocean views from almost every room in this home. It is located on a canal front lot, offers dockage for a boat up to 30' and easy access to the ocean - a straight shot of about 200 yards to open water from the dock. The wrap-around screened balcony provides a respite after a day on the water. Take a dip in the pool and enjoy some afternoon refreshment. Grill your day's catch on the gas grill and dine at home or take it to one of our many fine local restaurants and let the chef cook it to your specifications.
This is a stilt house with the main living area on the 2nd level. You'll enjoy the open great room arrangement of the kitchen, dining and living areas. The kitchen features granite counter tops and an unobstructed view of the ocean from the window over the sink. All appliances are new. You'll love the side by side stainless steel refrigerator with water and ice on the outside. The glass top range-oven is a breeze to clean - if you happen to make a mess. The kitchen is completely equipped with appliances, dishes, flatware, and glasses. Just bring your food. Dining is a pleasure at the square table with 6 high back upholstered chairs. The casual seating area features a leather sleeper sofa, occasional chairs, and an entertainment center. Watch your favorite programs on the wall mounted flat screen TV with digital preferred package - all HBO channels, Encores and 100 other digital channels - or listen to your favorite AM/FM stations on the Bose stereo player. If you need to stay in touch with the outside world there is high speed wireless internet for your convenience. There are two sets of sliding glass doors along the east wall of the great room and another set on the north wall which open to the wrap around screened balcony. From here you can view the ocean and the canal. Relax on one of the many chairs, read a book, gaze at the water or take a siesta. This level also features two bedrooms, one with a queen sized bed and ensuite bath and the other with twin beds. The hall bath offers a tub and shower combination and a single vanity. A full sized washer and dryer are located near the bedrooms.
The 3rd level features a loft style bedroom, ensuite bath plus two roof top viewing and sunning areas. One is located on the east side and one on the west. In addition to the fantastic ocean views, the east area offers secluded roof top sun bathing. Bask on one of the deck chairs in the private area and re-energize with a water spray and a cool towel - truly a heavenly experience.

Refundable Security Deposit: $1000 with Accidental Damage Insurance or $2000 without. Utility Caps/Mo: $100 water and $200 electricity. Pet Fees: Pets are accepted at this property on a case by case basis. If your pet is accepted there is an additional security deposit of $200 for one pet and $100 for an additional pet.
Accidental Damage: $45 covers up to $3,000 of accidental damage during your stay.

We recently returned from a month long vacation stay at Blue Water Retreat and it was so hard to leave! This house is situated on an ocean canal with spectacular ocean views from EVERY room. The owners have capitalized on this fantastic location with an enormous screened in porch on the main level as well as an expansive roof top patio. Combined with the pool and patio on the ground level, it was sometimes difficult to decide where to partake in our evening cocktail. The house lives comfortably and feels cozy without being cramped. This is one of the most well stocked houses in regards to linens and towels, we've stayed in. The beds and furniture are all clean and comfortable with a nice beachy vibe. The kitchen is well stocked and we loved cooking our fresh catch while staring out at the Atlantic Ocean. The outside is well kept and soaking in the cocktail pool was one of our favorite daily activities. The owners have a storage shed with a bait freezer and they generously allow use of their kayak as well as other fun toys. We brought our paddle boards and the kids spent many afternoons exploring the canal and ocean. We brought our boat and loved the convenience of the dock and fish cleaning station. It's the Keys, you have to be on the water! We fished daily and many nights dined on fresh snapper, lobster, triggerfish, etc. There's a reason Islamorada is called the Sportfishing Capital of the World! We also loved the ease of boating to Alligator Reef and Indian Key for snorkeling and adventuring. We had our bikes with us and biked to Robbies many afternoons for a cocktail and appetizer. The kids love exploring all the shops and feeding the tarpons. We also rode bikes to Mr. Lobster for fresh seafood; Safari Lounge for a cold beer and fabulous fish sandwich; MM74 gas station for supplies and surprisingly good Cuban sandwiches and a few other fun finds! The house is on a quiet street, but the canal is busy because it's across the water from a lively resort. We enjoyed watching all the action and boats coming in from their fishing trips each day. We never heard any evening noise and the resort seemed to mostly be families. I thought this house was a fantastic value and a perfect location for exploring the Keys! We will definitely return!
We stayed from mid December 2016 through January 2017 and celebrated the holidays with 3 generations of family. There was something for everyone! My husband and grandsons enjoyed fabulous fishing on our boat while the girls relaxed and read by the pool. I especially enjoyed the sunrise each morning with my coffee! The views were just spectacular!
All we could Ever hope for on vacation...We have stayed in this home 4 times and it Never disappoints. The rental agency is one of the Best I have Ever worked with when renting. Andi and Ashley are always Top Notch....There are not enough words to say about the home and the experience. I am looking forward to next year...
