About the Property
This non-smoking unit is in a superb beachfront location, nestled between the Gulf and the intercoastal waterway on the part of Indian Rocks Beach known as The Narrows. With two living rooms as well as two bedrooms, two bathrooms and two balconies the condo is ideal for families with children/teens or two families sharing and wanting their own 'space'. There are just 15 units in the building and each one is accessed via a card-operated elevator that takes you directly into the lobby of your own condo. Furnished and equipped with style, the balcony overlooking the beach and the gulf is accessed via patio doors from living room one and the master bedroom. This is the perfect place to enjoy those wonderful sunsets and just watch life on this quiet unspoiled beach go by. There are stairs from this balcony down to the pool and the beach below, so you don't even need to take the lift!
The other balcony overlooking the intercoastal waters is accessed by the second living room and is a great spot to watch the sun come up in the mornings. The second bedroom also has views from the large windows over these waters. Most days, if you close the screens and leave the patio doors open on both balconies, a beautiful cool breeze wafts through the apartment - in fact, much of the time the air-conditioning is not even needed!
As well as a large flat-screen television and DVD in the main living room, there is another flat-screen TV in the second living room, and also flat screens in both bedrooms. There is wifi on tap, and a selection of books and board games for when you want to get out of the sunshine. There's a crib and baby chair as well as some pool toys for the kids.
The master en-suite bathroom has a newly fitted shower door, and a large vanity unit with cupboards under where a hairdryer is stored. The second bathroom has a tub as well as a shower, and another hairdryer.
Outside, there is a pool and plenty of sun beds on the deck. We have a barbecue and picnic table in the garden and there is a gate directly on to the unspoiled beach which is a quiet place to relax, watch the dolphins, fish, walk or go shelling. There is also a boat-dock/fishing pier across the street on the intercoastal for the exclusive use of WCV guests. Allocated parking is undercover, and a number of good restaurants - from diners to fine dining - are all within a few minutes drive/walk of the condo.
We love our place on the beach - and we're sure you will too.
Before we purchased this condo, we looked at dozens of other units. But as soon as we saw the water views from EVERY window - the beach out back and the intercoastal out front - we were hooked.
Why Kids Love It
The heated pool is just steps from the ocean so kids are spoilt for choice. Playing in the sand or splashing in the pool, kids of all ages find something they love at the beach.
Indian Rocks Beach is the ideal place to simply kick back and relax, or indulge some of your favourite pastimes - from fishing or golf to eating out! Just 40 minutes or so drive from Tampa Airport, the pace of this little place is definitely set to 'Island Time'. Whether you are looking for fine waterside dining at Saltrock Grill, or enjoy the local institution that is Crabby Bills, there are numerous choices of restaurants within an easy drive or walk. Crazy golf is just along the street and the Holiday Inn has a 'splash park' with water slides and rides galore. Local stores hire out bicycles, paddleboards and kayaks, and the trolley bus means you can explore up and down the beach area easily and cheaply. The local CVS carries many of the day to day groceries you might need, whilst there is a Publix just over a mile across the bridge.
Attractions Within Walking Distance
There are numerous restaurants, bars and little shops within walking distance. You can enjoy an ice-cream, a slice of cake with coffee or maybe hire a paddleboard to check out the dolphins in close quarters! Hiring bicycles is a fun thing to do, and they are plentiful. Or maybe rent a boat and meander along the intercoastal, or go out to sea for a day's fishing? The Holiday Inn just along the street has a splash water park that is great fun for kids with slides, chutes and a 'lazy river'.
Favorite Places To Eat
Saltrock is a great waterside restaurant, but there are lots of small, informal places too that service great food with really good atmosphere. Crabby Bills is famous locally, but Lulu's (owned by Crabbys) is giving them a run for their money with great food and daily deals so check that little place out! Villa Gallace is renowned for its Italian food, and JD's has some great music on the back porch as well as daily specials on food and drink. Slyce Pizza is so popular they've opened another couple of outlets locally. Head over the Belleair Bridge and you'll find E&E's which is owned by the same group as Guppys on the beach, two great restaurants.
Check out the visitor centre - they have great deals sometimes including tickets for theme parks, and a restaurant guide that often includes discount coupons for the local restaurants. If you're travelling with kids, check out Roosterfish Grill - recently they've been offering 'kids eat free' on Sundays and also offer a $1.50 margarita that day for the grown-ups! Many local restaurants do 'early-birds' so it can be worth eating before sunset then enjoying a cocktail as the sun goes down.
Other Vacation Rental Amenities
The Clearwater Aquarium is a short drive (15-20 minutes) and this is where the films about Winter the dolphin were filmed. John's Pass is about the same distance in the opposite direction (south) and there are parasailing, fishing boats, dolphin viewing boats etc there as well as lots of unusual little shops to explore.

Year Purchased: 2008
About the owner: We are Brits who have been visiting this area since the 1980's and finally purchased our dream vacation home in 2008. We spend several months of the year in the condo ourselves so it is equipped very much as a home from home. Each time we're there, we do another upgrade, or some fresh touches so you will always find our beach home very welcoming.
Why this property? We couldn't believe that it is tucked between the intercoastal and the beach so with fabulous views from every window and balcony. Once the sun has set, we often sit on the front balcony and watch the boats - and the world - go by.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are you DIRECTLY on the beach?
Yes. There is absolutely nothing to obstruct your view of the beach/Gulf of Mexico from our condo.
Are pets allowed?
No - only service animals, upon production of the valid paperwork.
Is the condo well equipped, especially the kitchen?
Yes. We spend several months a year there so we like to think of it as a home from home, for us and for renters.
what time is check in/check out?
Check in is normally after 4pm, and check out is 10am. There is a lock-box with keys on site so you never have to worry about what time you arrive and being met.
Can I book your condo for a weekend?
No. We are a minimum 7-day rental building so the minimum we can rent to you for is one week.
Is there allocated parking?
Yes, there is one allocated space per condo and also several visitor spaces. You must display a valid parking permit in your vehicle - it will be provided before check in. There is also free parking on the street outside.
Can I park a trailer in the car park?
Do you provide beach towels and beach chairs?
We do provide beach towels. There are often beach chairs and sunshades in the condo, but we do not guarantee this. Please note, you cannot take chairs or loungers from the pool area on to the beach.
Is the pool heated?
Do you have to have a car to enjoy a vacation here?
It is possible to get about using the trolley buses, and there are shuttle services/cabs to and from the airport. CVS along the street sells day to day groceries and a Publix is about a mile and a half further on. So technically, you can get by without one if you're an active walker, but a car does help you get around.
How many people can stay in the condo - I might have a friend come stay for a couple of nights?
Anyone using the condo needs to be listed and named on the condo agreement signed at the time of confirming the rental and the number must not exceed the total allowed (6 max).
