River Strand is a gated community located in Bradenton, FL on the north side of Lakewood ranch. It is resort style living with a 27-hole Championship golf course that has recently been renovated. You can have the owners' privileges for social activities or social plus Golf privileges for the cost of a transfer fee to River Strand. Amenities offered at River Strand are many with 8 different pools, Tiki Bar, Tennis Courts, Pickle Ball courts, 2 exercise facilities, library, 27 holes of golf, putting and practice area for golfers. Bird watching and biking are extremely popular along with many other activities such as bridge, majoun, cards, karaoke and more.
River Strand is quiet yet easy access to the beaches and everything that Tampa Bay and St. Petersburg have to offer. Sarasota is just miles down the road.
Spring training for Baseball is all over this area with Bradenton being the home of the pirates and several other clubs just a few miles away.
Orlando is 2 hours and Cape Canaveral is about 2.5 hours. Charter fishing is available at many locations and the winter is some of the best times to go fishing. The dining in this location is remarkable with too many places to name. If you do not want to leave River Strand they have a Dining Room, Grille Room, and a Tiki Bar. Their wood oven pizzas are a must try.
