About the owner: My wife and I maintain the property and have done so for twenty seven years.
We have loved the property for its history, its charming layout,, the sense that it gives you of being with nature while being in and having access to the Cities of Palm Beach, West Palm Beach and Lake Worth, and the wealth of cultural to which it affords us access.
My wife Vanilda is from Southern Brazil.
And although I was raised in this same neighborhood, I have lived and traveled much abroad, Spain and throughout Europe and much of South America.
Because of this speak multiple languages, my wife speaks ,Portuguese, Spanish, and English,
I speak these languages and well as some German, Italian, French.
This has always worked out well because our gardens and life-style is reminiscent of a European life and attracts guests from Europe and around the World.
Why this property? This property is located on what used to be a pineapple farm, and is of some historical significance.
The farm covered most of the area that came to be known as the neighborhood of Belair.
He purchased the farm in 1922 and proceeded to erect a temporary dwelling. After the hurricane of 1926 had destroyed most of the structures in West Palm Beach, He went around with a horse and buggy, collecting and amassing, a large quantity of the high quality wood known as Dade County Pine.
With this he began building this residence which became his home. He completed construction of this house in 1926. and continued building many of the properties that became the neighborhood of Belair .
For this reason we maintain a portion of our Gardens to the growing of pineapples.
