About this rental
This cozy bungalow is within the last working fishing village in Florida, walking distance to 5 waterfront restaurant bars full of "salty dogs”, delicious fresh seafood, and just 1 mile to the Gulf of Mexico on Anna Maria Island. Built in 1910, it has been completely remodeled without sacrificing the historic charm. Bring your dog and lounge in the screened patio, screened porch or the yard.
The house central heat/air serves the house very well as it is extremely cozy and comfortable, even when it is blazing hot outside.
This is an old house, and although it is one floor, there are steps up/down into different rooms. This could pose a trip hazard, so please beware and consider this prior to renting, especially if this is a usual or general concern.
The guest bedroom bed is a trundle bed which makes into a king size bed. When it is made into a king, there is very little space between the end of the bed and the closet, requiring most to climb over the bed to get to the closet.
1-2 small dogs are fine. I would like to know specifics before confirming the booking. If you have a large dog or aggressive type, this will require discussion to determine if the house and location is a fit for you and your pet.
There is plenty of space to park your boat trailer in the back yard.

About the owner: Born and raised on Anna Maria, I was thrilled to be able to own a house in Cortez. I have spent most of my adult life in St. Augustine, FL, but now returning to my roots in Anna Maria. My Dad still operates a successful real estate and property management company in Anna Maria. My Mom also lives on the island and is enjoying driving her jeep around and hanging out with friends.
Why this property? This house is so comfortable and with such a large backyard, you can store boat or jet ski trailers in the back. I added the screened patio which has been great to hang out with friends and stay cool. Walking distance to local and tastey seafood spots is a major plus. The neighborhood is truly residential and is missing the churn and burn of the Island. I also love how relaxed and casual the area is. The neighbors are the salt of the earth and would do anything for you.

Charming, chill vacation
Blondie's Bungalow is freshly remodeled, super cute and comfortable. Inside and out, relaxing rules. Lovely home with sweet porches where the living is easy. Jen thought of everything. Put away car keys. Stroll around corner for breakfast at Cortez Cafe, then explore historic fishing village, seafood restaurants, and bars, or browse and sip coffee at gorgeous Fox Mercantile. Venture on foot across bridge to beautiful white sandy Bradenton Beach and Historic Bridge Street. Spend another day on Pine Avenue and Anna Maria Beach. The Monkey Bus gave us a joyful ride "home" to this peaceful, well-appointed cottage. Time to book another blissful stay!!

A quaint bungalow in a great location.
The bungalow is located in an old fishing village with bars and restaurants in walking distance. It is located on a quiet street, which we enjoyed while sitting on the patios. It looks like it has been remodeled very recently. It was very clean and comfortable. We went there to relax and eat. That is what we did. I highly recommend it.
