Our home is a lovely 3 bedroom-2 bathroom 2,300 square feet, modern home with comfy furniture, great artwork, fully equipped kitchen and covered lanai. Inground pool, grill, firepit, all doors pocket right into walls for open concept living at all times. The freshly renovated, 27' master bedroom is located in a separate wing from the two guest bedrooms and has a high-end mattress and doors leading out to pool. Kitchen is modern and bright with high-end stainless appliances. Home has two kings and 1 queen bed throughout the 3 bedrooms. We have a dining room table for six and a farmhouse kitchen table for four. A china cabinet in the dining room offers good dishes, serving bowls, wine glasses and linens. The home has pocket doors throughout the home, closing off areas for privacy where desired. We have a weekly service for both the pool and landscaping/lawncare.

Waterford is a beautiful, gated community and we have terrific neighbours. A strong homeowner's association keeps everyone on their toes in keeping their properties top-notch at all times. It's mostly an older community so it's quiet and private. Our Clubhouse has many activities including tennis, library, gym, sauna and large, outdoor, heated pool. The home is right on the golf course - Waterford Golf & Country Club is semi-private and offers 27 holes.

The ability to sit out in the covered lanai, no matter what the weather is a beautiful thing. We often have a bald eagle (sometimes two!) perching in the pine tree behind the house and it is a magnificent sight. We love to sit around the "chat room", mesmerized by the firepit flames, enjoying a glass of wine and a starlit night. It's a special place.

All doors (with the exception of the spare bedroom) open right into the walls, making for an AMAZING indoor-outdoor feeling. Because we are located in the bend in the road, we have a huge, pie-shaped lot so when relaxing/sitting/swimming, we do not see neighbours on either side of us. It feels very private and exclusive.

Area Information

Waterford is an established, desirable golf-course community with gated entrance to all sub-divisions and great landscaping and ponds throughout. We are located about 10 minutes to downtown Venice and either Venice Beach or Nokomis Beach. We head out to the Jetty on a regular basis to take in the gorgeous sunsets and dolphins and manatees swimming past. The town of Venice is quaint but has lots of small boutique stores and an amazing selection of restaurants and services. The big box stores are located on the outskirts of town and together, they provide everthing you might need to have a great rental experience. We are an hour + 15 minutes from Tampa International, an hour from St. Petes/Clearwater and 30 minutes from Punta Gorda Airport. The famous Siesta Key Beach is a mere 30 minute drive, as is the bustling downtown core of Sarasota and St. Armands Circle (for fabulous dining and shopping).

Head to the north OR south jetty, pack a lawnchair, a cold drink and maybe a hot pizza to watch one of the most amazing sunsets you'll see in the USA. Dolphins and manatees often swim past and local fishermen are happy to share their stories. You can park in your chair and watch the volleyball players or people drumming in the sunset or families just enjoying their day. Or pick a quiet spot and just take it all in. And it's all for free!
