We love the charm of original bungalows - original fireplace, arched doorway, wood siding, and front covered porch with a swing. We're central to all city amenities - restaurants, groceries, and new Italian Ice/gelato shop across the street! Kitchen has dishwasher, large fridge, microwave, large convection toaster oven, a whistling teapot and a coffee maker. An outdoor grill is under the portico, and the back deck has 2 reclining chairs with tables. 24/7 MONITORED SECURITY through ADT. A new 50" Vizio Smart TV- takes all of the apps - Roku, UTube, Amazon, Netflix, Pandora, Hulu, Instant Video, etc. We love and welcome dogs, but are ALLERGIC TO CATS, so PLEASE, NO CATS! Fully fenced yard for privacy for you and your dog. A firepit is in the yard, and there's lots of shade in front and back depending on time of day!
We bought this house at the beginning of 2021, and have been updating and adding to the interior. It is fully furnished and freshly painted inside, and we have been adding things to the walls, as well as lots of information books on Florida and 3 shelves of fiction. There is a full bath, as well as a curtained toilet in the laundry room. This was built as a 3 bedroom, but we have made the center bedroom into a tv room separate from the front living room.

There's a Jeremiah's Italian Ice shop right across the street! The back yard has a 6' high fence, so it's private, safe, and dog friendly.

Area Information

The house is a half block to Manatee Ave, the main E-W street in north Bradenton. It will take you directly to Anna Maria Island and the fantastic beaches, just over 8 miles away. It is also close to routes north to St.Pete and Tampa, and 14 miles to downtown Sarasota and Siesta Key, Lido Beach and the arts district.
Bradenton has its own fun, funky arts district, and lots of great restaurants; we are regulars at the Sage Biscuit downtown, less than a mile from the house. There's a good bit of beautiful architecture, including a few of the old churches downtown by Manatee Ave, and riverwalks - our house is 6'ish blocks to the Manatee River, in a beautiful old neighborhood lined with trees and tropical flowers and great for walking. There are also numerous parks, including Palma Sota Causeway Park where you can set up with beach chairs and picnic, wade and paddle on Palma Sola Bay, or Palma Sola Botanical Park or Robinson Preserve natural area.
One area fun to spend time in is Village of the Arts, a few square blocks around 12th St. W, just east of Tamiami Trail. Artists have bought many of the local homes and decorated them with their handiwork, some of it for sale. It's a kick to drive or walk around the neighborhood, and there are a few neat restaurants in the area as well.

Attractions Within Walking Distance

Downtown and Bradenton Memorial Hospital are a mile away by the Manatee River. 6 blocks north of the house is the Manatee River, and a beautiful old, settled neighborhood great for walking. A little east of 26th, the road is along the river and leads to downtown, some old small-town style restaurants, the library, Bishop Museum of Science and Nature and other attractions.

Favorite Places To Eat

Sage Biscuit is our favorite for breakfast/lunch - fabulous! It has outdoor, covered seating with big ceiling fans! All of the chains, but also plenty of really good Latino, Asian, American and various other places, in every direction from the house.
