And did I mention the spectacular view??!!
We are a now-retired Michigan couple who visited beaches all over Florida for decades. In those early days, we had limited vacation weeks from work and the desire to see as many places as possible, so we never spent more than six nights in any ONE beach town or condo.By the time we were ready to give snowbirding a try, we had decided if we were going to spend 90 days in one place, it had to be Clearwater Beach, and specifically on Island Estates. We didn’t want the hassle of slow Florida traffic jams, and we knew that from Island Estates we could walk, boat, ride our bikes or take the Jolley Trolley almost anywhere we needed to go.We still had some butterflies about this first adventure, so it was our good fortune that we found this 10th floor Dolphin Cove condo with an expansive view of Clearwater Bay! If you got right up to the 10+ foot wide doorwall, you could see almost all the way from Coachman Park on the city side, across miles of water, and to Clearwater Beach – which meant both sunrises and sunsets! We could also see part of the pool below us, and an occasional dolphin in swimming near the boat slips. We woke up to gorgeous blue skies nearly every morning; I can’t tell you how that lightened the spirits of people who usually spend the winter with cold and heavy gray skies. In January, when the Aquarium hosted an amazing marine-themed drone show across the darkened skies, we had a front-row seat. Even the cheerful tenth-floor laundry room had a killer view of Mandalay Bay – I’m hoping Florida Rentals will allow me to post a few pictures for you to see.Our hosts, Atef and Odet, could not have been more friendly, generous and accommodating, and I treasured our easy communication. We prepped most of our meals in their well-stocked kitchen, and had everything we needed. The pride of upkeep and attention to this entire condo building was evident daily, which makes such a difference. The condo association made several great updates just while we were there, including a new gas grill, an e-bike rack, and improved digital communication in the lobby. And as ‘seasonal guests,’ we were met with nothing but warmth and welcome – kudos especially to Donna in the office, and Al in maintenance! What a magical escape from Midwestern winter!

I loved it so much I stayed more than 6 months...
I selected this place for the fabulous location and the convenience of not having to rent a car. You can do groceries at 5 minutes, walk to the beach in 15-20 minutes and there is a bus/troller close by as well. It's super convenient. The owners were also very kind and receptive. I rarely had to contact them as everything was in perfect condition but when I did they responded promptly and never felt I was being a disturbance. I was also surprised on how quiet it was on the floor, the section where the condo is located have very little neighbours. On the other hand, I was a bit worried of not having a washer & dryer in the accommodation but it's actually located on same floor and very rarely did I found it not to be available, please note that you need to pay for each wash and dryer usage...not much (approx. 2-3USD) but good to know. The bed and couch are confortable, I did need to wear an eye mask if I wanted to sleep-in due to the sun giving lots of light early in the morning and the shade are not sufficient. Apart from that it's a perfect place for a couple, the couch doesn't transform to a bed...that would have been convenient for visitors...but not a big highly recommended! I miss it already! Julie
