About the Property
Oviedo House is just a couple blocks from the center of St. Augustine and Flagler College. It is incredible for family reunions and wedding groups. The main house, Dakota Suite and West Wing can accommodate 18 guests and with the addition of the Carriage Apartment can host 24 guests. (Rates listed do not include Carriage Apartment, call for additional information)
The house was built around 1910 as a rooming house for nurses of Florida East Coast Hospital, located two blocks from Flagler College, six blocks from Historic downtown and just a few miles from great shopping and the beach. It has been completely remodeled with care to offer new amenities yet keep all its original charm!
The Oviedo House has many amenities including WiFi wireless Internet access. This house has two floors and is comfortable for large or small families, a great back yard for BBQ's or catered dinners, and don't miss your chance to spend some quiet time on the large front porch in one of our rocking chairs. This is a favorite spot for many that stay in the house!
The most unique benefit of Oviedo House is the ability to fit your group. It is in 4 units, the main house sleeps 10, Dakota Suite sleeps 4, West Wing sleeps 4 and Carriage Apartment sleeps 6 so it can accommodate up to 24 guests. Great for family reunions and wedding groups
Why Kids Love It
Oviedo House is very kid friendly. It has get away spaces for kids to have their own space, we have bicycles and a great back yard, so you are away from the street.
Oviedo House is located in a comfortable neighborhood with Georgie's Diner, San Sebastian Winery, Whetstone Chocolate Factory and Carmelo's Marketplace (best pizza in St. Augustine) just around the corner. The Trolley has stops at San Sebastian Winery and Whetstone Chocolate Factory so easy to get on and off at those locations. Year Purchased: 1956
About the owner: My parents bought Oviedo House in 1956 and a family of 7 kids grew up in this house. As we have all moved away from St. Augustine, we have kept Oviedo House as a place to come back to for vacations. Now our kids have kids, and 3 generations are coming back to St. Augustine. We love to share our home with our guests and are blessed that it has been so well taken care of.
Why this property? Oviedo House is the house I grew up in and I love coming back to visit.

Family Get Together for Wedding
Very convenient location. We had a great reunion. Some "modern" things missing, like outlets for hairdryers, cell phones, etc. Like visiting Grandmom's house. Comfortable and homey. Great backyard where we had rehearsal barbecue. Would definitely recommend for your family reunion.

So glad you found Oviedo House comfortable, homey and in a convenient location. I wish you had called me on "some modern things missing like outlets for hairdryers, cell phones etc." Each bathroom has hairdryers provided and there are outlets for each of them. All electrical was redone in 2016 and counter tops and every room has multiple outlets. It is possible some were behind furniture. We even have the usb ports at all the counters to charge your electronics. Confused on this comment.
