WALK TO BEACH - 3 BR 2.5 BTHS. Private beach access just minutes away. (2) pools in community. Awesome location! Close to everything! We are in the well known Emerald Shores Community

IMPORTANT NOTE: peak season 6/4 - 8/13 reservations are Sat -Sat 7 nights and Strict cancellation policy- We recommend you get trip cancellation insurance. Armband policy between March and October 30.00 for armbands per home charged by HOA.

The space
Selah by the Sea is a place to "Pause and Reflect". A cozy cottage with a unique layout in the Emerald shores community.

The home has beds for 6, and sleeper couch for 2. We will allow up to 10 guests. Price for each additional guest for over 8 guests 175.00 per week or 25.00 per night. Bring air mattresses for additional guests. Linen towel rental company nearby if you do not want to pack your own.

2019 Many improved updates have been made in the home, new appliances, L/R furniture, new mattresses, guest bedrooms and bathroom redone flooring, paint. Enjoy!

If you are travelling with a large group, check out out other property "Hidden Gem by the Sea" in the same community of Emerald Shores.

Your reservation includes a one-time linen and towel set-up , an initial set up of trash liners(2), bathroom paper (4-6 rolls, paper towels (1), hand/body soap and dishwasher detergent (1 pod). We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the Property. We do NOT provide beach towels. Bring your own beach towels and makeup towels.

Guest access
The day of your trip prior to check In time 4pm you will receive your codes to gain access onto the property, private beach access and into the home. Our guests will have access to the community private beach pavilion. Two pools. Tennis. Basketball, shuffleboard.

Our beach area will never get overcrowded as we have our own beach pavilion and armband policy in place (armband policy in effect during peaks season).

2022 Armband Policies and Procedures

Children 12 years of age and younger are not required to wear an armband.
Guests will have to provide a lease agreement or an email confirmation of a lease to present
to the Security Attendant with a valid ID or photo of lease and ID taken with your smartphone.

1. The Armband Policy will be in effect for the following date ranges and is subject to change based on need:
• March 13th – October 15th (additional days may be added)
2. A Pavilion Attendant will be placed at the pavilion from the hours of 10:00am to 4:00pm, 7 days a week, during the effective dates. In the case of bad weather, the attendant will be inside the Leeward Key Lobby area.
3. Guests are to check-in with the attendant to obtain their armbands for the week. Guests should wear their bands while at the pool areas, on the pavilion and at the beach.
4. A nonrefundable fee of $30 will be collected from the guest at the time the set of bands are issued. Cash or credit card as of 2021. The fee of $30 is a per-home fee, not per number of guests.
5. The attendant is responsible for keeping a log of issued bands.

Other things to note
Airbnb collects and remits 7% Florida State occupancy taxes on our behalf. Airbnb does not collect Walton County tax of of 5% and is not included in the nightly pricing. This tax to be collected separately along with any pet fees.

pets allowed 30 lbs and under non shed/low shed. Max 2 pets pet fee 150.00 1 pet - 250.00 2 pets. No puppies/cats. kittens/aggressive breeds.

During peak season Memorial Day to Mid August we take reservations Saturday to Saturday weekly rentals only.

Check in 4:00pm, Check out 10:00am
Check in time begins at 4pm Central Time. There will be no discounts offered due to a late check-in. No early check ins.

Garbage pick up is Sat, Tuesday and Thursday during peak season, The contracted staff will come behind gate to get trash - do not roll trash cans to the street. Do not place any loose items in trash cans. All trash must be bagged securely.

Primary guest must be age 25 to reserve the property.

Make, model, color of vehicle/s utilizing the driveway must be provided. There is no street parking.

(Note: Air conditioner MUST be OFF if you keep doors/windows open. If doors or windows are left open this will cause the A/C unit to shut down and you will be charged for service calls to A/C company.

The small shed consists of some courtesy items you may use for your convenience: some beach chairs, , a basketball, frisbee . Please make sure to remove any sand prior to returning beach items to shed. An air pump for inflatables and a sun stroller is in the walk in closet should you need to use them as a courtesy.

We offer a outdoor Gas grill as a convenience for guests use - Propane is at guests expense

We offer a beach wagon behind the gate to use as a courtesy for your use. The pavilion has an area to park your wagons. Beach wagon is not to be used on beach. Please bring your own cart if you want for use on beach.

Note: You can rent chairs, umbrellas, kayaks and paddleboards at our beach. very small Pop up tents allowed on beach but must be set up behind contracted beach set up chairs.

Pools: We have two pools in our community, The main pool and the North pool. North Pool heated when temperature drops, normally late November through March.

Bring your own beach towels. Provided white towels and linens are not to be taken or used off property.

In order not to be charged additional fees, the following must occur prior to check out:

No damage is done to the unit or its contents including the towels/linens.
(If you want to wash our towels mid week, wash with whites only and no bleach - do not mix with your towels or clothing)
No items are missing upon the inventory check. (This includes, but is not limited to, transferring items to other units.
BBQ must be turned off, cleaned and covered with BBQ cover after every use and upon departure. (Please make sure to clean BBQ grease catcher and place in bag and throw in garbage - no grease should be thrown down sink or toilets)
All debris, garbage and discards are placed in proper containers.- No loose garbage in indoor or outdoor trash cans.
All soiled dishes are placed in the dishwasher and dishwasher run.
There was no exceeding the maximum occupancy of the unit.
There was NO SMOKING or evidence of smoking in a designated non-smoking unit.
Unit is left in neat condition.

This unit has a great set up for 2 couples or for anyone looking for a little privacy from their guests, since there is some separation between the rooms with a screened in porch. It’s only a short walk to the beach (.4 miles, I think) and the amenities at the beach are nice. The pool is on the smaller side, but it was clean and perfect for small kids. Even though it was past the summer season when we went, there still seemed to be plenty happening in the neighborhood and in Destin, so it didn’t feel too quiet (or too busy), if that makes sense! It was a great place to stay for a week.
